The Indiana Bicentennial Commission met on February 19th and endorsed the proposal submitted by Gary Middle College teacher Nora Glenn, titled, “Lifting Up Literacy at Gary Middle College,” as a Bicentennial Legacy Project.
The proposal was approved by the standards set by the Commission for accessibility to the public and achievability.
“Lifting Up Literacy at Gary Middle College” is a proposal set forth by English teacher Ms. Nora Glenn to start a publicly accessible library at Gary Middle College for students and the public that highlights local authors and literature about the Gary area. The project is endorsed by the Commission, whose goal is to celebrate Indiana’s history and Indiana’s 200th birthday among all 92 counties.
